5 BEST SHAMPOOS FOR WOMEN

If you’re experiencing thinning hair, you should use hair care products that rebuild hair strands at the root and protect against things like breakage and environmental damage. In addition, you’ll want to avoid using shampoos with parabens or sulfates, which can irritate hair and reduce moisture.

Ahead, here are the 5 products we recommend the most for women with thinning hair:

1. ROUTINE WELLNESS

Routine Wellness blew us away and was our favorite when it came to our battle against thinning hair. The Shampoo and Conditioner are made from a proprietary blend of plant-based extracts, oils, and vitamins that are specifically formulated to do two things: help with DHT and nourish your hair. In addition, the company makes a hair supplement with ingredients that have been clinically shown to increase hair thickness and hair density.

We absolutely love the shampoo and conditioner. The formula contains ingredients like saw palmetto oil, nettle extract and apple fruit extract. These ingredients are believed to help with the effects of DHT – the hormone that causes hair loss – on the scalp. In addition, Routine also contains hair nourishing ingredients like biotin, kelp, and niacin. By providing your hair the essential nutrients and proteins it needs, these ingredients can help stimulate the scalp and nourish each strand.

I was really happy to find a product that was geared towards women suffering from thinning hair. Almost everything I see on the market is just for men. Since the shampoo and conditioner are sulfate free, they are safe for all types of hair including color treated hair.

Routine has thousands of reviews from insanely happy women, and many customers have had some incredible results. My favorite is a customer who says she is now a “hair goddess!” In addition, Routine has a great return policy and will offer you a refund if you’re not happy with the product.

Simply put, Routine Wellness was my favorite combo in my battle against hair loss. The worst part is that Routine isn’t available on Amazon. My favorite scent was Routine Rose Hips, which smells amazing.

2. Shapiro Women’s Regrowth Kit

We absolutely loved Shapiro Regrowth Kit. The shampoo and conditioner have many of the same ingredients as Routine – Biotin, Green Tea, Caffeine and Saw Palmetto. We’re also a fan of the daily foamer, but the minoxidil is in liquid form which we don’t love. We still appreciated the volume and thickness the shampoo gave to us. However, the price was a bit high, so Shapiro earned our number 2 spot.

3. Pureology Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner

We loved that Pureology Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner is SLS free, and is vegan. We thought the shampoo did a great job cleansing our scalp without stripping it, and the conditioner did a great job of hydrating our hair without weighing it down. Overall, we felt like we had more volume and bounce, but that the effect on our hair loss was low, so we put this as number three on our list.

4. Keranique Shampoo and Conditioner

Keranique Shampoo and Conditioner is aimed specifically at replenishing Kertain in the hair. Keratin is a critical component of hair protein, and so we loved that focus. The shampoo did a great job at moisturizing our hair too. However, we didn’t love that the whole kit idea, and it seemed like the shampoo stripped away the color in our hair quickly, and so it earned the number 4 spot on our list.

5. Nioxin System Shampoo and Conditioner

Nioxin was the first brand to really focus on hair loss. It started several decades ago, and as a result, has a lot of name brand recognition. We love that it reduces breakage and leaves a refreshed and healthy scalp. We didn’t love two things though. First, it is difficult to know what system to purchase because Nioxin has so many products. Second, each system contains a spray that left our hair a bit greasy when we were done washing it.

As a result, Nioxin ended up fifth on our list!

Remember, each person will have different experiences with these products and our tests weren’t scientific – these are just our opinions. We recommend you stick to something for at least 6 months to see if you are responding well to it.

An article such as this one referred me to Routine about a year ago. I have no complaints. It has been a gentle wash on my hair 4C hair. I did see a decrease in hair loss or hair in the tub and brush. I also have had the same bottles for the last year and it’s time to reorder. I paid 50 bucks for the shampoo and conditioner and even though that was the most I ever paid for shampoo in my life, I am glad I gave it a try. 10/10 I highly recommend it.

I started noticing I was losing hair several months believing it was a natural thing. I was 75 when this began and it got to the point there a handful in the shower drain. That’s when I saw Routine advertised. I got the shampoo, conditioner and serum. I received it in a timely manner and I began using it right away. I put the serum on my scalp rubbing it on the roots. I then left it on about an hour and then shampooed it leaving shampoo on a few minutes, then used conditioner leaving on a couple of minutes and rinsed with cold water. I did this two times a week and noted hair loss becoming less after about 4 washes. I am still using same way and noting only losing 2-4 hairs. I can’t say enough good stuff about Routine. Price is reasonable and it is working for me.

I have been using Routine for almost a year & I love it! I have baby fine hair which was thinning badly. Now my hair rarely breaks, is thicker & my hairdresser sees the difference.

I’ve tried the Shapiro. I’ve tried the WOW . Then I saw Routine and Decided to give it a try bc these 2 others just were not working .
Routine has been awesome . It lathers well . No overpowering smells . I have lots of allergies to detergents , etc. Routine does Not make my head itch for one thing . It is affordable for me as a Senior over 70 on a fixed income .
Thank you Routine for this awesome shampoo & conditioner.

What kind of scent does it have? I am looking for a new shampoo but am allergic to a lot of things. Do you know if it’s available in travel size? Thank you.
